Research (CSIR), New Delhi, has been engaged in multidisciplinary
R&D work relevant to the country in general and North Eastern Region
in particular.

Course details:
# Basic training:
(a) Welding (20 seats)
(b) Fitting (20 seats)
(c) Plumbing (20 seats)
(d) Jacquard Weaving (40 seats)
(e) Assistant Electrician (10 seats)
(f) 2D & 3D AutoCAD drafting (Mechanical) (05 seats)
# Advanced training:
(a) CNC turning and machining (10 seats)
(b) Advanced Welding (20 seats)
(c) AI-Machine Learning (30 seats)
Educational Qualification:
Basic training:
# Min. qualification is class eight passed for all the courses with the exception as following
# For Assistant Electrician, minimum qualification is class 10th passed
# For 2D & 3D drafting using AutoCAD, minimum qualification is class 10th passed / ITI passed / diploma passed
# For weaving trade woman candidates will be preferred
Advanced training:
# CNC: ITI passed as machinist/ turner, diploma in mechanical or allied subject
# Adv. welding: ITI passed for welding, diploma in mechanical or allied subject
# AI-ML: Must have Bachelor’s degree in any Science or Engineering discipline & the course will be in online mode

Offline: Candidates may send hardcopy by post (Address: To, The Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat; P.O: RRL785006) and at the top of the envelope, “Application for Skill Development Training” to be mentioned.
